தட்டச்சு–வரகூரான் நாராயணன்.
நடுத்தர வயது தம்பதிகள் தரிசனத்துக்கு வந்தார்கள். முகத்தில் ஏக்கம் தெரிந்தது.
“கல்யாணமாகி பத்து வருஷமாச்சு…சந்ததி இல்லை..”
‘மேலே சொல்லு‘ என்று கேட்கிற மாதிரி பெரியவாள் பார்த்தார்கள்.
“ராமேஸ்வரத்தில் நாகப் பிரதிஷ்டை..பண்ணினேன். சந்தானகோபால மந்திரம் ஆயிரக்கணக்காகப் பண்ணினேன்…”
பெரியவாள் கண்களை மூடிக்கொண்டு மௌனமாக இருந்தார்கள்.
“உன் பாட்டி எப்படி செத்துப்போனாள் தெரியுமோ?”
வந்தவருக்கு, சாட்டையால் அடித்தாற்போல் இருந்தது. ‘இத்தனை பேர்கள் எதிரில், அதை எப்படிச் சொல்வது?’
பெரியவாள் சொன்னார்கள்.
“உன் தாத்தா ரொம்ப முன்கோபி.சதா காலமும் பாட்டியைத் திட்டுவார்.அடிப்பார். அவர்
அட்டகாசம் பொறுக்கலே. ஒருநாள் உன் பாட்டி கொல்லைக் கிணத்திலே விழுந்து தற்கொலை பண்ணிண்டுட்டா…”
“உன் குடும்பத்துக்கு ஸ்திரீ சாபம் இருக்கு. நல்ல ஜோஸ்யர் – உபாசகர்களிடம் கேட்டு பரிஹாரம் செய். அப்புறம் புத்திரப் பிராப்தி உண்டாகும்…”
தம்பதிகள் நெகிழ்ந்தே போனார்கள்.
பாட்டி கிணற்றில் விழுந்தது அந்த பையனுக்கு தெரியும். (அவன் மனைவிக்குக்கூட அதுவரை சொன்னதில்லை!) அந்த ரகசியம் பெரியவாளுக்கு எப்படித் தெரிந்தது?.
அது பரம ரகசியம்!

Very beautiful drawing. Thatroopam! Please don’t mistake me I have a small observation in the drawing, the dandam periyava has will always not be kept on the ground. English translation please
Here is a simple translation for you.
It was a middle aged couple standing for Darshan. Their face reflected disappointment due to unfulfilled desire.
“We are married for ten years. Not yet blessed with child.”
Periyava was looking at them, as if to say, ‘go on’.
“I have done Nagapratishta at Rameswaram. Have recited Santanagopala mantram thousands of times,”
Periyava was silent , his eyes closed.
“Do you know how your grandmother died ? ”

Periyava Himself said:
” Your grand father was very short-tempered, He would scold and beat your grand mother. Unable to bear this torture , she jumped into the well in the backyard and committed suicide.
Your family is subject to curse by woman. Consult a good astrologer, Upasaka and perform appropriate Parihara.. Thereafter you will be blessed with child.”
The couple was moved deeply.
The boy knew how the grandmother had died. He had not disclosed it even to his wife. How did Periyava know?
